Yes, I’m a Huge Nerd.
Today’s comic was nearly word for word a conversation I had with a co-worker. Nobody caught fire at the end, however, so it continued for over 2 hours and got kind of weird near the end. I spared you the part about the ‘Great Galactic Draft” and how “Killing Clone Troopers isn’t really murder cause you’re just shooting the same person over and over.”
This comic has been written and drawn for a long time, to be honest. It’s my secret shame about making comics. I have a stack of finished pages, scripts and loose leaf concept drafts. By the time I had to send it to Mike for colouring I actually forgot all about it. I spent most of the day regretting the punch line.
When I worry about the jokes it’s either because they’re too ‘Off the wall / Slapstick” or because they’re too wordy that I’m afraid people wont “GET” them… Maybe that means it’s time to throw in the towel. I’ll have more time for video games if I did.
Speaking of Towels and Video Games, I heard a rumor about a new Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy game being made by Hothead games. I have a huge nerd-rection for this news, and as is my personal rule, I have become religious so I can pray for this game:
“Dear God,
Please don’t let it suck. And have it come out to PC.”
