Rock Star games made all the talks and rumours official with news of the latest addition to the Max Payne franchise. What started in 2001 on the Windows platform, the third person shooter captured you on the top of a city skyscraper. Max Payne a former NYPD and DEA is piecing together his world through a series of Frank Miller like comic book intro’s. It brought the world of John Woo and Matrix to the gaming element with a critically acclaimed “Bullet Time” which allowed you to stop time, line yup your shots and create amazing cinematic like action in the middle of every gun fight.
Now with this the third instalment we receive the following description from Rock Star as to what we can expect.
“Still haunted by the memories of his traumatic past, Max begins a new life working private security protecting a wealthy industrialist and his family in Sao Paulo, Brazil. When gangs target the family under his protection, Max is forced to fight to save his clients and clear his name, in a bid to, once and for all, rid himself of the demons that have tortured him for far too long.”
Now we have the time line set for what to expect in game, and a release date that is six months from now, we can add it to the 2012 budget as this will certainly be a must have for anyone who loves a great shooter game and series. Here are a few screenshots from Rock Star’s site.
