Depending on which feed you read, the sale is estimated to be around 750 million dollars in a combination of cash and shares.
How will this change as the Washington State based POP CAP games join’s forces with the California based EA? Only time will tell, but the people at POP CAP seem positive that it will only increase their ability to build more quality games, and reach an even larger market. I personally love their news on the site of potential cross overs, although I will not get my hopes up for a Bejewelled Battlefield Blitz.
